Birthstone Guide

Birthstones have been a very popular jewellery trend, especially for those who love to give personalized special gifts with meaning behind them. There can be one (1) to three (3) birthstones for each month of the year.  They each have their own history and meaning behind it.  Birthstones are often found in all categories of jewellery from earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants, and charms.  It is a beautiful way for the wearer to celebrate their special day or a special someone else. They make an excellent, personalized gift for a loved one to show how much you care. You can wear your own birthstone, wear someone who is special to you, your children’s, grandchildren’s, siblings, etc. The options are endless, which make them a perfect gift. They allow you to create your own story that you hold close to your heart.

Did you know there are two (2) different list of birthstones? The reason for this was accessibility to stones and affordability reasons to make birthstones available to everyone!  The traditional list included birthstones that have been historically associated with each month.  The modern birthstone list was established by the National Association of Jewellers.  Most people choose between the list depending on their taste, affordability, and style.
