Birthstones are a very popular jewellery trend, especially for those who love to give personalized and special gifts with meaning behind them. There can be one multiple birthstones for each month of the year, each having their own history and meaning behind them.  Birthstones are often found in all categories of jewellery from earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants, and charms.  It is a beautiful way for the wearer to celebrate their special day or a special someone. They make a meaningful and personalized gift for a loved one to show how much you care. You can wear your own birthstone, wear someone’s who is special to you, your children’s, grandchildren’s, siblings, etc. The options are endless, which make them a perfect gift. There are a few different lists of birthstones that have been created. The reason for this was because it made it easier for jewellers to create "mother's rings," which feature the woman's children in a manner more suited to modern tastes. The traditional list included birthstones that have been historically associated with each month.  The modern birthstone list was established by the National Association of Jewelers. To this day, jewellers continue to add options to the birthstone chart. Most people choose between the lists depending on their taste, affordability, and style.
